Freddie De Tommaso, a new star of the world opera, will give his first concert in the Moscow Performing Arts Center with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia directed by Vladimir Spivakov.

The new star of the Royal Opera House, winner of the European oldest vocal contest in Europe – the Viñas International Singing Competition in Barcelona, is eagerly anticipated in Moscow. Now 28 year-old, Freddie De Tommaso was proclaimed “a sensational Cavaradossi” by renowned British critics after his performance in Puccini's “Tosca”. He chanced to be a last-time replacement of Bryan Hymel in this opera during an online broadcasting and instantly became one of the brightest stars on the operatic skyline. He is the first British tenor to sing Cavaradossi at the Royal Opera House in the last 60 years and the youngest singer in this role ever there. He has been invited to perform it also at the Bolshoi in Russia. “I am happy to be part of the opera world, this stunning art deserves a larger attention. This is the music I love and I am willing to share it with people” – says the artist.

Freddie De Tommaso got educated at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2018 he was a member of the Young Singers Academy at the Salzburg Festival. In the 2018/2019 he was a member of the Studio at the Bavarian State Opera. He has sung at the Vienna State Opera, the National Opera in Amsterdam, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Semper Opera House in Dresden and others, In 2021 Decca released his first CD. In the summer of 2022 Freddie De Tommaso will make his debut at the Verbier Festival.
