The Gala Night on December 28 dedicated to the jubilee of The Moscow Performing Arts Center will be conducted by Vladimir Spivakov, the MMDM President, People's Artist of Russia. He will be joined by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and stars of the world opera.

The Moscow Performing Arts Center was opened on December 26, 2002. During the past years it has become one of the leading concert halls of the Russian capital, a place attracting well-known artists and new generations of talents as well as millions of visitors. “The Arts Center is a place for transcendent integration of people, a kind of interrelation between the past, the present and the future. The most precious about it is its atmosphere which gives space to creativity. Its stages have guested eminent performers and collectives, gifted children – young talents who are just starting their musical careers...” – says Vladimir Spivakov. For the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia the Arts Center is both a rehearsal seat and a main concert stage.

To congratulate the concert-theater complex with its 20th birthday there will gather brilliant artists, old friends of Vladimir Spivakov, the NPR and the Arts Center such as the celebrated opera diva Hibla Gerzmava, a star of The Bolshoi Bekhzod Davronov, a singer of the Mariinsky Theater and guest soloist of The Bolshoi Vladislav Sulimsky, young Japanese pianist Shio Okui (a grant-recipient of the Spivakov Foundation). The audience will hear masterpieces by Russian and world music classics – symphonic works, arias and duets from famous operas.
