Boris Puryzhinsky was born in 1969 in Moscow. He was educated at the Dunayevsky Moscow Music School, the Music College of the Moscow Conservatory and the Tchaikovsky Moscow State
Conservatory. He worked in the Moscow Children's Musical Theatre under the direction of Gennady Chikhachev, and the "Young Russia" Symphony Orchestra. A prize winner of international competitions, he is now a member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under Vladimir Spivakov. Since 2015 he has been teaching at the "Hope" Art School and the K. Igumnov Music School.
