Nikolai Kondrashin was born in 1954 in Moscow. He graduated from the Russian Academy of Music (classes of Professor V. M. Trushina). In 1981-2003 he had worked in the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and also played in the ensemble of soloists of this Orchestra, recording several CDs. He was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Russia" in 2003. He was a guest violist of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (Norway).
