Andrey Zenchugov was born in 1987 in Kazakhstan. In 2016, he graduated from the college at the Kazakhstan National Arts University in Astana and in 2011 – from the P.I.Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory (Professor Anatoly Skobelev's classes) followed by the post-graduate courses there completed in 2014 (Professor Victor Batashev's classes).
He won the 2nd Open All-Russia Festival-Competition for young performers on woodwinds and percussion instruments “Siberian Music Ensembles” in Novosibirsk (2005) and the 2nd All-Russia Competition of woodwinds ensembles in Kazan (2007). He also got the 3rd prize at the “Shabyt” International Festival of Artistic Youth in Astana (2005) and at the International Competition of Woodwinds and Percussion Instruments Players at the Moscow Conservatory (2019) getting the Second Prize at the next edition of the latter in 2019 when he also got the Anatoly Skobelev Prize.
Since 2007, he had worked 18 years in the State Academic Symphonic Capella led by Valery Polyansky. He joined the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia in 2025.
