Ilya Lapshov

Ilya Lapshov was born in 1993 in Kirov. In 2014, he graduated from the F.Chopin Moscow State College of Musical Performance (Evegeny Petrov's classes) and in 2019 continued his education at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Professor Evgeny Petrov's classes) followed by assistantship-internship there in 2022.

He took part in masterclasses by outstanding clarinettists Charles Neydich, Alessandro Carbonare, Christelle Pochet, Pascal Moragues, Rafael Bagdasaryan and others.

He is a laureate of the Yu.N. Dolzhikov International Competition-Festival of Wind and Percussion Performers (1st Degree, 2913), the Virtuoso Festival of Romantic Music in Moscow (2013, 2014), the 2nd CMS Summer Competition-Festival (2nd Prize, 2018), three-times awardee of the All-Russia Orchestral Artists Competition (3rd Prize in 2019, 2020, 2nd Prize in 2021).

He has performed as a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonia Academic Symphony Orchestra, the V.A. Rayevsky Viatka Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Conservatory Concert Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles.

In 2019-2023 – soloist of the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra. Since 2023 – an artist (bass-clarinet) of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
