Julia Solodakhina was born in Moscow where she graduated from the Academic Music College at the P.I.Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and then from the Conservatory itself (Professor Grigory Feigin's classes, 1995).
In 1996-1999, she played in the Russian Philharmonia Moscow Symphony Orchestra, then in 1999-2003 with the Moscow Philharmonia Academic Symphony Orchestra, since 2003 she has been a member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
