Mikhail Lebedev

Mikhail Lebedev was born in 1989 in Moscow in a family of musicians. He graduated from the Gnessins Moscow Special Grammar Music School-College (Vera Birina’s classes) and the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya’s classes). He took part in masterclasses by Boris Pergamenshchikov, David Geringas, Kirill Rodin and other well-known musicians. 

He had got awards at youth international competitions: in Liezen, Austria (First Prize), and «Classica Nova» in Hannover (Germany, 2nd Prize), a diploma at the All-Russia «New Names» and «Youth Arts Assembles» competitions. 

He was a scholarship holder of the I.N.Voronova «New Names» Fund and the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.

As a soloist, he has played with the Orchestra of the Central Military District of the RF Ministry of Defense, the Russian Cinematography State Symphony Orchestra, the Russian State Chamber Orchestra and others.

In 2008-2020 and 2012-2010, he had been an artist of the Moscow Philharmonia State Symphony Orchestra. Since 2020 - an artist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and plays in the NPR Cello Ensemble. 

In 2012-2019, he had been a member of Akadem Quartet.

He used to work as a guest artist with the «Philharmonia of Nations» Orchestra directed by Justus Frantz, the Tula Philharmonia Symphony Orchestra, the Art Incognito Chamber Orchestra, and a participant of the Mozart for Kids project

He has toured in France, Netherlands, Spain, Israel, The United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, and the UAE.
