Nikolay Ermakov, born in Moscow in 1980, got educated in the A.N.Scriabin Children Music School (Alexey Timokhin's classes), in 1998 graduated from the college at the A.Schnittke Moscow State Music Institute (Liudmila Krassilnikova's classes) followed by studying at the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music (Professor Dmitry Lukianov's classes).
In 2001-2002, he was a member of the Young Russia Symphony Orchestra, in 2002-2004 played in the Moscow Philharmonia Academic Symphony Orchestra, in 2004-2006 worked in the Igor Moiseyev Folk Dance Ensemble and in 2006-2024 – in the E.F.Svetlanov State Russian Orchestra.
Since 2024, he has been an artist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, second concertmaster of the percussion section.
