 Sergei Mazur

Sergei Mazur was born in 1994 in Sochi. He was educated there at the Children School of Arts #2 (Vladimir Mazur's classes), then at the Gnessins Special Music School in Moscow (Tatyana Berkul's classes followed by studies at the P.I.Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Professor Tatyana Berkul's classes).

He took part in master classes by Boris Kushnir, Julian Rachlin, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Yasha Oravets, Anton Barakhovsky, Pavel Milyukov, Alexey Lundin and other well-known musicians. 

He played as a soloist with the Gnessins Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow Conservatory Chamber Orchestra and the Czech Youth Chamber Orchestra. He also took part in the New Names Foundation projects.

He joined the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia in 2020 and regularly participates in charitable concerts of the NPR soloists.

He has been the first violin of the BACH-quartet since 2020. The group won the First Prize in the String Quartet nomination at the All-Russia Music Competition. In 2018-2020, he was a member of the Russian National Youth Orchestra.

He has toured in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Turkey.
