Yuri Gridasov

Yury Gridasov was born in 1961 in Simferopol. In 1978 he graduated from Simferopol Children Music School No.1 (now named after S.V. Rachmaninoff), then in 1982 from the Gnessins State Musical College and in 1989 – from the Gnessins State Musical Pedagogical Institute (now the Gnessins Russian Musical Academy), studying there with Professor Dmitry Lukyanov). During his obligatory military service in the USSR, he had performed in Military Orchestra No. 21 of the Moscow Military District.

In 1987-1991, he had been a member of the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra directed by Veronika Dudarova. In 1991-2003, he had played in the Russian National Orchestra conducted by Mikhail Pletnev. Since 2003 – an artist of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia.
