Closing Vladimir Spivakov's Festival with a New Year's Eve opera gala has turned out to be a good tradition. The maestro invariably invites top stars with whom joint performances are always the source of artistic satisfaction and great joy. Hibla Gerzmava, the diva of the Russian opera stage, and the charismatic tenor Arsen Soghomonyan will embellish the Festival's finale. The Jubilee Tenth Edition of the Moscow Music Festival “Vladimir Spivakov Invites” will start on September 23, 2019, with the traditional New Year opera gala concert on December 28, 2019, as the final point. Сoncerts of the event will take place at the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International Performing Arts Center and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. The Festival, organized in 2001, is a bright example of a successful art project with its own style, priorities and a consistently widening audience. “For me, it is not the number of festival concerts that matters, but the opportunity to show in Moscow what I love myself: something new, in different genres and styles, inimitable, talented,” says Vladimir Spivakov.

In 2018, the 30th edition of the International Festival in Colmar pays tribute to the outstanding pianist and composer Evgeny Kissin. The Festival's Artistic Director Vladimir Spivakov, whose close friendship and cooperation with Evgeny Kissin counts several decades already, first invited the 20-year-old pianist to Colmar in 1992. At the Festival's present edition Evgeny will give several concerts. The Festival in Alsace opens with the pianist's recital on July 4, on July 9 Kissin will perform with the members of the Kopelman-Quartet and Vladimir Spivakov (works by Kissin and Shostakovich), and on July 13 he will play with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov. Moreover, on July 11 there will be a poetry evening of Evgeny Kissin, whose multifaceted talent reveals itself not only in piano playing and composing music.
Этот проект, показанный первый раз в Московском международном Доме музыки, вызвал огромный интерес не только поклонников музыки, но и любителям киноискусства, поскольку помимо игры оркестра зрители увидят фильм, транслируемый на большом экране. Гости вечера будут иметь возможность окунуться в атмосферу немого кино 30-х годов прошлого века. Национальный филармонический оркестр России под управлением маэстро Спивакова будет исполнять собственную музыку Чаплина к бессмертному фильму «Огни большого города» по партитуре, реконструированной Тимоти Броком в 2004 году. Великий комик, режиссер, сценарист, продюсер и балетмейстер, был еще и талантливым композитором. Он сочинил музыку к семи своим фильмам из четырнадцати. «Я верю, что могущество смеха и слез сможет стать противоядием от ненависти и страха»…так говорил Чарли Чаплин о своих творениях.
