Andrei Yatsynych was born in Moscow in 1980. In 1999 he graduated cum laude from the Academic Music College at the Moscow Conservatory (Alexander Zagorinsky's class) and then in 2004 from the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (Professor Maria Tchaikovskaya's class).
In 2001-2017, he was a member of the Svetlanov State Orchestra of Russia. He was a concertmaster of the cello group in one of the lineups of the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Regularly performs in various chamber ensembles.
Since 2017 – a member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia directed by Vladimir Spivakov (second deputy concertmaster of the cello group).
