On February 16, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia invites music lovers to the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory for a concert which will feature the most popular symphonic dances of the 19th century. On the conductor podium this night there will be the Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Vladimir Simkin, who has been collaborating with Vladimir Spivakov's Orchestras since 2004.

NPR subscription series at the Moscow Philharmonic Society

The Moscow Philharmonic Society has commenced the sales of 2018/2019 season subscription tickets. The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia always participates in the Society's various projects, and also holds its own subscription series under the Society's auspices. In the new season, the NPR will have two subscription series at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, namely No. 19 and No. 20, the latter including family concerts with programs addressed to a wider audience, as well as subscription series No. 93 at the Rachmaninoff Concert Hall ("Philharmonia-2").

In addition, the NPR takes part in the Philharmonic Society's other subscriptions at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and the Rachmaninoff Concert Hall, such as popular series dedicated to masterpieces of the world musical art: "Romantic Concertos" (No. 99), "Great Piano Concertos" (No. 33), "Musical Achievements" (No. 67), etc.

The concerts will feature Vladimir Spivakov, the NPR's Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, conductors Ken-David Masur (Germany-USA), Stanislav Kochanovsky, Pierre Bleuse (France, his debut with NPR), Gabriel Bebeșelea (Romania), Dimitris Botinis, Alexander Soloviev, Mihhail Gerts (Estonia). Among the soloists there will be pianists Pierre-Laurent Aimard (France), Philipp Kopachevsky, Andrei Gugnin, Zlata Chochieva, baritone Vasily Ladyuk, soprano Nadezhda Gulitskaya, cellist Alexander Ramm and others.

Anna Netrebko (soprano) and Yusif Eyvazov (tenor) will give only one concert in Moscow on February 7, 2018. It will take place at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and will be accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov.
Part 1 is completely devoted to the music by Giuseppe Verdi: fragments from such operas as “Attila”, “Otello”, “Macbeth”, “Il trovatore”, “I masnadieri”, “I vespri siciliani” and “Un ballo in maschera” will be performed. Part 2 includes fragments from operas by Italian verists (“I Pagliacci” by Leoncavallo, “Cavalleria rusticana” by Mascagni, “Andrea Chénier” by Giordano, “Manon Lescaut” by Puccini) and their antagonist Alfredo Catalani (“La Wally”) and also from Russian classics (Tchaikovsky's “The Queen of Spades” and Rimsky-Korsakov's “The Tsar's Bride”).

The Ildar Bakeev Entertainment Company is forced to announce that because of his indisposition German tenor Jonas Kaufmann will not be able to take part in the concert which opens the "New Year at the Conservatory" Festival  on December 31. His performance will take place later, and the negotiations about the new date are already being held. All the ticket owners for the Jonas Kaufmann Concert will be admitted to the Sylvester Concert at the Great Hall on December 31, 2017, and then keep their tickets until Jonas Kaufmann's concert which date will be given within a short time. Therefore they will have the opportunity to attend two events for only one ticket. 

Kang Wang (tenor), a soloist of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Ekaterina Morozova (soprano), a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, will appear on the stage of the Great Hall this night.
