Vilnul Samigullin

Vilnul Samigullin was born in 1991 in Oktyabrsky (Bashkortostan). He graduated from the I.V. Aukhadeev Kazan Music College (Nikolai Shadrov's class) and the Gnessins Music Academy (docent Firgat Mussin's classes). He attended Sergio Carolino's classes in 2021.

A laureate of the All-Russian Competition of Wind Ensembles in Kazan (2014), as a member of a brass quintet in the Siberian Music Ensembles Festival (Novosibirsk, 2014) and All-Russian Music Competition in Moscow (2016, 3rd Prize). In 2023, he won the 5th prize and a diploma at the 27th edition of the P.I. Tchaikovsky International Competition and the Second Prize at the International Competition of wind and percussion instruments in Moscow. In 2025, he won the 8th All-Russian Competition of Artists of Symphony Orchestras.

He played in the Volga Region Youth Symphony Orchestra (Togliatti), the Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Omsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater.

He has been a member of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia since the 2022/23 season.
