The “Vladimir Spivakov Invites” Festival in Omsk amd Perm

Following tradition Vladimir Spivakov and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia will spend the beginning of June in Omsk (1-04.06) and Perm (6-10.06) where the maestro organized the Vladimir Spivakov Invites festival. The tour will take place within the frames of All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons of the Moscow Philharmonia and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of youth policy and mass communication of the Perm Krai and the Government of the Omsk Region.

It will be the 13th Omsk edition and the 16th Perm edition of the Vladimir Spivakov Festival. Perm and Omsk were just the first cities, which Vladimir Spivakov chose as sites for his regional festivals to add to that of the Moscow one. The concerts will feature great masterpieces of Russian and European classics from Mozart to Schnittke (see Events).

The maestro pays special attention to playing Russian music such as works by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky and also Requiem by Alemdar Karamanov (to the 90th birthday of the composer). A special gift for the audiences will be the NPR's popular program A Corner of France that has been conceived by Vladimir Spivakov, a known connoisseur of French culture, as a musical trip to Paris.

The NPR will share the stage with eminent soloists such as pianists Nikolai Lugansky, Ilya Papoyan, Alexander Ghindin, violinist Pavel Milyukov, opera stars Anna Aglatova, Polina Shamayeva, Alexei Neklyudov, Igor Podoplelov and the Grand Choir “Masters of Choral Singing” led by Lev Kontorovich.

Besides Vladimir Spivakov the concerts will be directed by the NPR second conductor Arsenty Tkachenko. He will present the Images of Romanticism program, which unites composers-antagonists of the Romantic Era – Brahms, Liszt and Wagner.
