MIPAC’s Subscription Series of the NPR
The Moscow International Performing Arts Center, which invariably remains the main concert venue for the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, its rehearsal base and producing partner, has started on March 1, 2016, the sales of subscription tickets for Concert Season 2016/2017. The Orchestra, led by Vladimir Spivakov, offers to the audience several subscription series at the Svetlanov Hall for the coming Season.
The NPR 's popular subscription series "Masterpieces for All Times" presents again unique creations from the treasury of world music. The concerts of the series resonate with the "Vladimir Spivakov Invites ..." Festival which features the best performers from the Maestro's and the Orchestra's favorite artistic partners. They include works of the 18th-20th centuries from Haydn to Prokofiev, and it is not a random collection of famous scores: each program has its own logic. The second block of the "Masterpieces For All Times" Series will reveal to the public new names, giving the opportunity to better show themselves to young conductors who are steadilygaining their international reputation.
The "Night in Italy" Series invites music lovers to enjoy the music and the art of the homeland of Stradivarius and Pavarotti, from commedia dell'arte to opera genres. It will open with the concert of Vasily Ladyuk, a star of the world opera, "a wonderful singer and an artist with inexhaustible energy, for whom opera is not just a musical genre, but an art form filled with vital force" (Vladimir Spivakov). In the second program, Dmitry Korchak, an outstanding tenor, famous in Russia and abroad, will make his debut on the NPR's podium to conduct the works of Rossini and Verdi.
“The Best-Loved Music" is a series-feast which will feature music for all tastes, and two nights in this Series are given to the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia. The first one will be devoted to Franz Lehar's operettas: excerpts of the best of them will be performed by Anna Aglatova, Sergey Romanovsky and Vasily Ladyuk. The other one will be a sort of vocal competition, in the manner of the famous “Three Tenors”, where three bright singers of the Youth Opera Program at the Bolshoi Theatre will present arias from the popular romantic repertoire.
In the new season the NPR initiates a subscription series addressed to a young audience. "Two Centuries. Two Genii " is a program dedicated to Pushkin and Mozart and intended for those who are perhaps not yet ready to appreciate the depth of a poetic thought and the beauty of a complex musical form, but are able to capture the spirit, the atmosphere of a wonderful fairy tale, and to plunge into a fantasy play. The first program is based on the fairy tales by Pushkin and Rimsky-Korsakov's music to them. The second program is focused on Mozart's correspondence with his family and, of course, on the immortal music of the great Austrian.
Season tickets can be booked online at www.mmdm.ru site as well as at the box office of the Moscow International Performing Arts Center.
